Canaanite bronze axe head.
Middle Bronze IIB: 1750-1550 BC
L. 14.5 cm (5 3/4 in.)
Perfect condition. Fine green and reddish-brown patina.

The lugged chisel axe head, with long rounded blade, tapering at the front sharp edge, and a concave oblong socket at the rear, with wing shaped lugs at the neck and base of the socket.
