Roman molded purple glass sprinkler.
3rd ??? 4th century AD.
H. 12.4 cm (4 7/8 in.), D. 8.4 cm (3 5/16 in.)
Intact. Silvery patina with encrustation.

The purple sprinkler with globular body with slightly concave base, cylindrical neck with inner diaphragm and wide flaring rim.
The body blown in two-parts mold decorated in relief with three horizontal registers with geometrical patterns. Two registers with concentric circles topped by a register with protruding circles. Space between registers filled with lozenges filled with dots. The base is decorated with radial lines.
