Chalcedon seal with a hunting king.
Persian Period: 6th-4th century BC.
H. 34mm, W. 28mm
Perforated for suspension. Chipped at the dome and the contour.




Brownish grey Chalcedon conical seal depicting a crowned king standing on a crouching winged sphinx, hunting an ibex. The king is depicted on the right, in profile to the left, holding the ibex at its raised front leg. The sphinx human head is depicted in the center.
