Roman green glass jar with handles
5th-6th century AD.
Height: 15.5 cm. (6 1/8 in.)
Chipped at the rim, missing tip of one handle, body repaired with two patches of restoration.

The jar with piriform body with diagonal spiral ribbing, tapering cylindrical neck, vertical short rim and folded tubular flange between the neck and the rim. The jar is surrounded by seventeen glass handles applied from the shoulder to the rim, with a curve folded around the flange. On conical foot base.
